Robert
Lloyd is a singer-songwriter out of Ft Myers, Florida. Over the years,
he has recorded numerous musical projects, such as The Last American (1995),
Will Jesus Be Walking Alone? (1997), NASCAR Fan (1999), Fallen Heroes
(2000 project written on behalf of the Lee County Veterans Association
Memorial update), Fly On High, Old Glory (video & song on computer disc
concerning Sept-11-2001 tragedy). In 1998 he wrote a musical play on the
lives of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and John Burroughs
called "Henry, Harvey, John and Me," as well as various commercial music
for radio and TV over the years.
On
a more personal note, Robert Lloyd had this to share about himself: Musical
background:
Plays guitar (main instrument), but 'Thumps around' on the keyboards.
He Is musically self-taught from childhood, but does not read a note of
music. He sings (but doesn't like to), and considers his main talent (if
any) to be songwriting (since childhood) and anything else claims to 'just
gets by on'... He has written hundreds of songs. He produces music adequately
well but is a horrible and unqualified failure as an engineer (though
he tortures everyone with his lack of competency anyway). He even once
wrote a song called "I'm a Good Example of a Bad Example," using himself
as the role model of the main character... He said he felt imminently
qualified.

Robert Lloyd has been a busy man in 2003, releasing a second full length CD (with bonus video disc) in July. Mr. Lloyd's new CD has a wide array of tunes, dealing
with the Georgia flag fight ("56" or Fight), a song dedicated to
the Hunley and it's crew, a dedication to the tough kids in Beaufort,
South Carolina who were expelled from school for wearing confederate
themed shirts (Now You've Got Yourself a Fight), a song written
after hearing of a Christian boy who was kicked out for wearing
a shirt bearing the songs title (Straight Pride), and many other
themed songs. Not holding back to be politically correct, Robert
Lloyd sings with his heartand soul, with heavy conviction on this
amazing CD. Includes a second CD for computer play, which contains
three videos for songs from this CD.

Robert
Lloyd's 2001 release is his first CD with a southern theme. With
lyrics inspired by organizatiosn such as the League of the South.
Jim Kibler, of the League, contributed the lyrics for "God's Gift:
A New Nation." With vocals reminiscent of Elvis, and heartfelt,
stirring music of a folk/country flavor, this is one of Mr. Lloyd's
best works.
